AIE CHINA 2027
The 10th Shanghai International Aircraft Interiors Exhibition 2027
Time: July 7-9, 2027
Venue: Shanghai New International Expo Centre
Exhibition Introduction
Since its launch in 2014, AIE CHINA has evolved in step with the development of China’s aircraft interiors industry, marking more than a decade of industry engagement and growth. Over the years, the exhibition has brought together thousands of companies from nearly 40 countries and regions, with a cumulative exhibition area of more than 50,000 square meters. With international exhibitors representing 42% of the total, AIE CHINA has established as a major industry event in Asia for aircraft interiors and cabin refurbishment, serving as a professional platform for sourcing, business matchmaking and industry collaboration. In 2027, AIE CHINA will mark its milestone 10th edition. On the basis of a decade of industry expertise and resources, the exhibition will evolve from a sourcing platform into an industry ecosystem, from product showcase to standards and trend leadership, and from a gateway to China into an industry hub for Asia. Currently, the global aircraft interiors refurbishment and MRO market is experiencing steady growth. According to industry estimates, the market was valued at approximately RMB 14.18 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach RMB 18.56 billion by 2031. Meanwhile, the broader aircraft cabin interiors market reached USD 27.5 billion in 2025 and is expected to grow to USD 41.5 billion by 2035. China’s commercial aircraft fleet is expected to grow at an annual rate of over 4%, driving sustained demand for cabin inspection and refurbishment. As China raises airworthiness and compliance standards for cabin interiors and its commercial aircraft industry continues to mature, domestic suppliers are moving beyond basic manufacturing capabilities toward higher levels of quality, performance and certification, creating significant opportunities across the aircraft interiors and refurbishment market.
New Opportunities
To establish a premier industry platform in Asia for product showcase and business collaboration covering the aircraft interiors and refurbishment sector, and to support the continued development of the global cabin interiors industry, the 10th Shanghai International Aircraft Interiors & Refurbishment Exhibition 2027 (AIE CHINA) will take place from July 7 to 9, 2027 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Taking “Refurbishment Redefining Cabin Value” as its themes, the show will evolve beyond a sourcing platform into a broader industry ecosystem, expanding its role from product showcase to industry standards and trend leadership. The 10th AIE CHINA marks a decade of progress and a new chapter for the aircraft interiors and refurbishment industry. Meanwhile, the exhibition will promote higher standards in cabin refurbishment, airworthiness compliance and sustainable materials, while accelerating the global integration of China’s aircraft interiors supply chain and strengthening Shanghai’s position as an international aviation hub.
Concurrent Activities
Focusing on cabin refurbishment, interior upgrades and aviation engineering innovation, the show will connect industry expertise with technical solutions and business opportunities. During the exhibition, the exhibition will also feature three signature events, including the 10th International Aviation Engineering Summit, Business Matchmaking Meetings and Cabin Refurbishment Technical Workshop. These events will address key industry trends, regulatory compliance, targeted business matchmaking and practical technology applications, bringing together aircraft manufacturers, airlines, MRO providers and supply chain partners to create a focused and results-driven platform for industry exchange and business collaboration. Companies from across the aviation value chain, including aircraft manufacturers, airlines, MRO providers and supply chain partners, will gather in Shanghai to discuss hot issues on key industry trends, regulatory compliance, business matchmaking and practical technology applications, promoting high-value industry exchange and business collaboration.
10th International Aviation Engineering Summit
As the core conference of AIE CHINA, the 10th International Aviation Engineering Summit will be held under the theme of “Redefining Cabin Value through Retrofit & Refurbishment,” focusing on emerging trends in aircraft cabin refurbishment. It will attract aviation authorities, OEMs, airlines, research institutions and industry leaders, to exchange their ideas on airworthiness requirements, airline cost efficiency and the global expansion of China’s aircraft interiors industry in forms of keynotes, panel discussions and case studies. Key topics will include airworthiness certification and compliance risk management, modular interior solutions and lifecycle cost optimization, technology advances and localization across the supply chain, as well as global market opportunities and competition for China-developed aircraft interior products.
Targeted Business Matchmaking Meetings
To connect qualified suppliers with defined procurement and project requirements, the meetings combines pre-event matching with targeted on-site meetings. Before the start of the exhibition, detailed supplier profiles covering product portfolios, technical capabilities, project credentials, service expertise and business objectives will be compiled into a dedicated sourcing database. In parallel, procurement, retrofit programs, supplier qualification and project requirements will be collected from major industry buyers, including COMAC, China Eastern Airlines and GAMECO. Following data-based screening and expert review, qualified buyer-supplier meetings will be scheduled on site, focusing on procurement, retrofit projects, technical collaboration and supply chain integration, while accelerating supplier engagement, improve sourcing efficiency and facilitate project-level business opportunities.
Cabin Refurbishment Technical Workshop
Focused on the technical and operational challenges encountered in cabin refurbishment, the workshop will adopt a small-group, practice-oriented format featuring hands-on technical sessions, real-world case reviews, expert troubleshooting and engineering best-practice exchange. The workshop will be structured around three technical areas. The first will focus on advanced repair and refurbishment of cabin interior panels, components and soft furnishings, covering repair procedures, restoration techniques and defect rectification. The second will address aircraft ground-time optimization, with a focus on work planning, task sequencing and concurrent maintenance to shorten turnaround time and minimize operational impact. The third will cover seat refurbishment compliance, including flammability requirements, modification procedures, airworthiness approval and end-to-end compliance control, which contributed to in-depth technical engagement and hands-on engineering and compliance capabilities.
Major Exhibits
The exhibits cover a wide range of fields, including cabin equipment and management systems, aircraft seating, galley systems, in-flight entertainment and connectivity, lighting and LED solutions, composite materials, interior coatings and decorative surfaces, textiles and leather, cabin cleaning and disinfection solutions, flooring materials, onboard emergency equipment, as well as cabin design, retrofit and refurbishment solutions.
